How Kori Rotti recipe was made in Past

In the old days,making kori rotti at home was a time-consuming process.

  • Making rice batter:First,the rice was soaked and ground in to a smooth batter,and then some salt was added to it.
  • Cooking on Kavoli: The batter was spread thinly on a special concave griddle called 'Kavoli'.It required skill to cook the batter evenly until it became crispy. 
  • Sun Drying:After cooking,the rotti was dried in the sun.This  sun-drying made the rotti very crispy and also preserved it for a long time.
  • Storage: The dried rotti was stored in airtight containers.This allowed families to keep it for long periods and use it during special occasions.
